MANAGEMENT COACHING
For managing a crisis effectively leaders need strong nerves, a clear head and high social competence. They need to know what puts them and others under great pressure and how much crisis-management skills they possess. Especially managers need to understand what they trigger in others with what they say, do or don’t do. Taken together, they need to know themselves well.
Competent and experienced coaches support managers and management-teams to broaden their knowledge about their strengths and weaknesses. Good management-coaches prepare managers to master difficult situations, so that conflicts will not escalate or even develop into a crisis. In acute cases, coaches help managers and their teams to navigate through a crisis as unscathed as possible, to master great stress, to mobilize their own and their employees potentials, to find efficient solutions, and to adequately communicate internally as well as externally.
